We believe it shows you how mainstream anime has become. Keen readers will note that Sony own Crunchyroll. It's fascinating to see that Sony are willing to do this. As getting an actual button on a remote can take a lot of corporate wrangling, even if Sony do own the company in question. They have to justify the existence of adding a button to a remote and there can be other services that are also up for consideration.

The good folks from anime streaming service Crunchyroll have sent us details of their latest streaming acquisition. Vinland Saga Season 2 will stream on the service simulcast from January 2023.
It follows the story of Thorfinn a young Viking with a passion for revenge (well that was season 1). Season 2 follows the further adventures of Thorfinn! The historical action anime series feels like tale Vikings would tell around a campfire at night. It's violent in a way you'd expect medieval Europe to be, and it's amusing to hear it all in Japanese. It's also great to see certain places in the UK get a mention as they off to Gainsborough and Bath in season 1!
We really enjoyed Season 1 (which is currently showing on Netflix and Amazon Prime).
