Tokyo Ghoul S

SINK YOUR TEETH INTO HORROR & SCI-FI PREMIERES ON SCREEN ANIME

Exclusive UK & IRE debut of Tokyo Ghoul S live-action sequel and The Relative Worlds join monthly anime channel line-up

Old meets new on the Screen Anime channel with a curated line-up of exclusive premieres, and the return of historic treasures this month. We are thrilled to host the exclusive UK & IRE premiere of the live-action horror sequel Tokyo Ghoul S, which sees Kaneki come face-to-face with a gruesome gourmet who hungers for a different kind of signature dish. Screen Anime will also be home to the first UK & IRE wide release of The Relative Worlds, an ambitious Sci-Fi story from Yūhei Sakuragi, a rising star and CG pioneer who has previously collaborated with Hayao Miyazaki.

Available from 25th April 2021, they will be joined by Psychic School Wars, a romance story with breathtaking visuals and a telekinetic twist, as well as Belladonna of Sadness, a brutal, erotic and psychedelic piece of history from the godfather of anime and manga himself, Osamu Tezuka - definitely not one for children!

Our bingeable series Eureka Seven also heads towards its dramatic conclusion this month in Part 2 (episodes 26-50), as more secrets, twists and turns threaten to reshape young Renton, Eureka, and the very world itself in this defining mecha anime.

All titles will be available from 25th April 2021 until 25th May 2021 in Japanese with English titles. Psychic School Wars and Eureka Seven Part 2 will also be available with English language dubs.

PREMIERE: TOKYO GHOUL S (N/C 15)

Growing accustomed to his new life as a half-ghoul, Ken Kaneki is determined to protect his new allies at Antiku from the anti-ghoul forces that seek to eradicate them. However, when the infamous gourmet Shu Tsukiyama wishes to savour his unique flavour, it's ghoul vs ghoul as Kaneki must fight his way out of the already-grim ghoul society's twisted underbelly!

The tantalising follow-up to the celebrated live-action adaptation, premiering in the UK and IRE exclusively on Screen Anime!

CLASSIC: BELLADONNA OF SADNESS (18)

The last film in the Animerama trilogy produced by the godfather of Japanese anime & manga, Osamu Tezuka and directed by his longtime collaborator Eiichi Yamamoto (Astro Boy and Kimba the White Lion), Belladonna of Sadness unfolds as a series of spectacular still watercolor paintings that bleed and twist together.

A young woman, Jeanne (voiced by Aiko Nagayama) is assaulted by the local lord on her wedding night. To take revenge, she makes a pact with the Devil himself (voiced by Tatsuya Nakadai, from Akira Kurosawa's Ran) who appears as a sprite and transforms her into a black-robed vision of madness and desire.

FESTIVAL FAVOURITE: PSYCHIC SCHOOL WARS (15)

Ryoichi Kyogoku, transfers into Kamakura's junior high school with a mission from his father: use his telepathic powers to take over the school. His good looks and charisma quickly make Kyogoku popular, and as more fall under his spell, he covertly manipulates his followers and pushes aside those that get in this way.

With the school almost entirely under Kyogoku's control, only one boy seems unaffected - Seki. Does Seki have what it takes to save everyone from the clutches of Kyogoku's mind control?

A Sci-Fi romance from director Ryosuke Nakamura (Grimgar, Ashes and Illusion)

CURATED: THE RELATIVE WORLDS (N/C 15)

Shin Hazama is a normal high school boy living an ordinary life until he crosses paths with Jin, a doppelgänger from another world ruled by the evil queen Kotoko, a dictator who's set her sights on adding Shin's to her empire. These relative worlds are linked, however, and if someone dies in one world, their doppelgänger in the other will also perish. The mission is simple: find and assassinate the queen's other self before her forces can end Jin's rebellion, but Shin is faced with a moral dilemma when the identity of the queen's double is closer than she seems...

From The Case of Hana & Alice CG director Yūhei Sakuragi, who previously worked with Hayao Miyazaki on Boro the Caterpillar!

SERIES MARATHON: EUREKA SEVEN PART 2 (EPISODES 26-50) (12)

Renton is a teenager trapped working as a mechanic in a backwater town. He dreams of joining up with a daredevil group of pilots known as Gekkostate and following in his father's heroic footsteps.

When a mysterious beauty named Eureka shows up asking for a tune-up, Renton soon finds himself drawn into a high flying mecha dogfight that makes him a target of the military. When the dust settles on the spectacular battle, Renton is invited to join Gekkostate, but he soon discovers that even a dream come true has a dark side.

The gripping conclusion to the mecha classic from Studio Bones (My Hero Academia)
