Criminal Records' Harajuku! Wednesday 16th March @ Proud Camden
It's HARAJUKU! time again at Proud Camden. Following the raving success of the previous installments, the Japanese-themed club night, held by Criminal Records, returns at Proud Gallery, Camden on Wednesday 16th March. The event will feature eight different themed rooms which will cater for all heads: games, movies, karaoke, comics, art, and of course live music from the hottest bands around, and dj-sets from Club NME resident DJ 'Shifty Disco Boy' and multi-talented live-act/DJ/VJ Rophone.
The whole event is about celebrating a love of Japan, as is themed around Japan's underground culture.
Get ready to dress like a Geisha, Gothica or Lolita, or a character from your favourite anime. There will be a contest for the best dressed, with nice prizes and surprises, so be creative and show us your passion for Japanese fashion and culture.
Gameheads already know that the event is one of the best occasions to meet fellow fanatics, socialise and play a large variety of PS3 and Wii games on the large screen. Gamers can also bring their own handheld consoles to play in their own private area.
Other themed zones include the Movie Zone, with all-night-long screenings of Manga and Animees; the BYODJ, where everyone can bring their own MP3 player to share the best recommendations of Jpop with others, get new tips and have a collective listening party; last but not least, the Karaoke Zone where attendees can party in true Japanese style!
There's plenty more going too, including some fantastic music from some of the hottest live bands around.
