The good folks from anime streaming giants Crunchyroll have sent us details about their Ani-May promotion.

For starters some of their top 20 shows will be available to watch for free with ads. This includes the utterly fantastic Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, Vinland Saga and Chainsaw Man.

Across the UK 120 HMV stores will be rebranded for the month and will play host to the exclusive early release of shows on DVD and Blu-ray including Mob Psycho Season 3, KONOSUBA - An Explosion on This Wonderful World!, Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! At HMV they've also got a competition running with a chance to win a VIP trip to Paris for Japan Expo, with Crunchyroll!

Anime fans will be able to get their hands on brand-new products and watch some of this year's biggest shows for free!

Crunchyroll®, the ultimate destination for anime worldwide, kicks off the second Ani-May celebration with clothes, merchandise, DVDs, Blu-rays and more to be available in-stores across the UK. 20 top shows will also be available to watch for free with ads on Crunchyroll, including Chainsaw Man, Haikyu!!, Solo Leveling, Dr. STONE, Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, Rent-a-Girlfriend, and VINLAND SAGA.

Throughout May, fans can expect a variety of officially licensed products from some of their favourite series! There will be brand-new gear from Crunchyroll's 2024 Anime Awards "Anime of the Year" JUJUTSU KAISEN. Also included in the merch drop are Haikyu!!, SPY x FAMILY, the Anime Award®-winning Chainsaw Man , as well as the recent hit Solo Leveling.
Plus, the highly anticipated sci-fi monster series Kaiju No. 8, the shonen sensation My Hero Academia, and dark fantasy Black Butler. Fans can expect to find tons of merchandise from a variety of shows across a range of retailers such as Abysse Corp, Bandai, Bioworld, and Funko.

For Ani-May, Crunchyroll is taking-over 120 HMV stores. The UK entertainment retailer will be rebranded for the month and will play host to the exclusive early release of shows on DVD and Blu-ray, such as Mob Psycho Season 3, KONOSUBA - An Explosion on This Wonderful World!, Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!, with limited editions available for select titles. Additionally, anime fans will have the opportunity to fully experience the Crunchyroll lifestyle and win a 'money can't buy' prize: an amazing weekend in Paris with VIP access to Japan Expo.

To continue the celebrations, beginning on 1st May until the end of the month, Crunchyroll is making 20 hit series available to watch for free with ads. These series include Chainsaw Man, Haikyu!!, and Solo Leveling, the science-powered adventure title Dr. STONE, , the emotionally complex Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, the romantic comedy Rent-a-Girlfriend, and the critically acclaimed viking epic VINLAND SAGA. Of course, fans can also celebrate anime all year long with a Crunchyroll membership, granting access to the world's largest dedicated anime streaming library of 46,000 episodes, 1,300 unique titles, and 24,000 hours of content, available subbed and dubbed worldwide in more than 12 languages.
