Otaku News' roundup of every title streaming to UK and Irish viewers for the Autumn 2016 season.

So the Autumn anime season is upon us and it’s that time of the season when we find out which titles have been picked up for streaming. Which titles take your fancy? Let us know on Twitter with the Otaku News account. At the moment, we here in the UK and Ireland rely on US companies for our streaming options for the most part, so this list is largely going to feature US titles that also have streaming rights here as well. Click on the text title on each entry to go to the platform of your choice (if more than one platform is streaming the same title).

The Crunchyites have been busy this season with a massive 45 titles for streaming in the UK and Ireland (they’ve announced a total of 50 titles but 5 so far have been US only) so we’ll all be very busy trying to get through them. Here are the breakdowns for each show from the Crunchyroll synopsis.

Heybot

The story takes place on Screw Island, a screw-shaped island nation where people make audiences laugh through the practice of 'VocabBattles,' heated gag contests in which 'VocabBots' place 'VocabScrews' on their heads and compete to come up with the funniest joke. Everything in this world is decided through VocabBattles!The unlikely duo of Heybot, the bungling VocabBot protagonist, and his partner, the easygoing prince Nejiru, are the stars in this ridiculous gag story! Various other unique, silly-but-cute VocabBot characters appear throughout the series, challenging Heybot and Nejiru to one VocabBattle after another. And thus begins the day-to-day adventures of Heybot and Nejiru as they strive to win VocabBattles and collect more screws!

I’ve Always Liked You

The film centres on high school students Natsuki Enomoto (voiced by Haruka Tomatsu) and her childhood friend Yu Setoguchi (voiced by Hiroshi Kamiya). Natsuki hopes to confess her love to Yu but is unable to admit to her true feelings, and ends up telling Yu that she is simply practising how to confess her love to somebody else. While Natsuki hides her true feelings for Yu, she is asked by her classmate Koyuki Ayase for a date. The story features the sweet but sometimes bitter trials and tribulations surrounding young romance. (Note: this is a film, not a TV series)

Nyanbo!

The 'Nyanbo' are creatures with square bodies with ears and tails that came to Earth from outer space. There's Tora, who dreams of repairing their broken UFO and returning to space, as well as his sister Kotora, the precocious Shiro, the mischievous Mike, the mysterious Kuro, and many more. All of these Nyanbos are now happily living much like cats, free-spirited and sometimes getting into trouble, in places that humans don't know about.

KAIJU GIRLS

Humanity's battle of many years with the kaiju, giant monsters, has finally come to an end. Now that Earth has entered an age of peace, girls with the souls of kaiju have begun to appear, giving them the ability to transform into kaiju. They are known as the Kaiju Girls, and this is the powerful, transient, beautiful, and at times easygoing story of the strange fate these girls bear.

NANBAKA

Four men are assigned to Nanba, the world’s most formidable prison. Izetta: The Last Witch

The time is pre-World War II and the setting is a European-like imaginary world. A large-scale war erupts and bloody battles are taking place throughout the world. Eylstadt is a small country that lacks a strong military force and natural resources. Finé, who is the crown queen of Eylstadt, decides to use a secret weapon against larger countries, in a time where battling against larger countries was unthinkable. The secret weapon is a witch named Izetta, who uses her magical force to fight the war. The young witch Izetta (who is the same age as Finé) is the last survivor of her kind, and is notable for her burning red hair.Izetta uses her enormous magical power to crash fighter planes and blow up tanks. As Eylstadt starts to win battle by battle with Izetta, people around the world start to call her 'Eylstadt’s Red Witch'. However, there were reasons why witches were hidden throughout the history. Izetta’s magic has a lot of dark secrets. Her forbidden power has opened up the door of hope and destruction. This is a story of a queen who wants to save her country and a young witch who fights for her best friend and people.

BUBUKI/BURANKI The Gentle Giants of the Galaxy

In the world of BBK/BRNK, It’s been ten years since Azuma Kazuki has been in Japan, and upon his arrival he is taken prisoner by a group of armed men. Azuma is saved by his childhood friend, Kogane Asabuki, thanks to a living weapon she wields on her right hand, known as a Bubuki. Bloodivores

A case of insomnia swept across the globe. As a side effect of the drug developed to suppress this sickness of causes unknown, the 'bloodivores' were born. Born from bloodivore and human parents, protagonist Mi Ryu was known as 'The Child of Hope' tying bloodivore and humankind together. However, when Mi Ryu is arrested as the principal offender in a bank robbery, he is taken to a special prison operated by the Bureau of Special Threat Management for observing bloodivores.The prison is then attacked by mysterious monsters that suddenly appear. Mi Ryu and Anji attempt to escape together but are confused when they discover the prison is located in the abandoned city of Aori. Why have the captured bloodivores been sent to Aori? Who or what are the monsters living there? Forced to fight against the monsters, the protagonist and his friends work to unravel these mysteries.

University Exams are one of the most influential factors in one`s early life. Depending on the results, a fantastic, high class, honourable life may await you. Or, on the other end of the spectrum, you may be left only leftovers. In this type of battlefield atmosphere, students are always doing their best to 'evolve' and survive. 'Learning Types' are students who have studied hard their whole lives and legitimately memorised everything they have studied, while 'Cheating types' are those who, as the name suggests, only managed to climb the educational ladder by cheating. Though sometimes they must cooperate with each other, there is a great rivalry between the two types. How will the hero 'Mumei', a C Type, followed by the heroin 'Koui' a L-Type, struggle in those tests. Now a new battle, one beyond imagination, is about to begin.

Kiitaro's Yokai Picture Diary

This is the visual diary of Kiitarou's experience with youkai. He's a boy with a very strong spirit sense, but when he entered a forbidden storehouse, he was kicked out of his home. He soon found a new place to live, where he met a zashiki warashi (house spirit) named Suzu. He and Suzu soon began to attract all kinds of spirit creatures, starting with a nurikabe (appears as a wall that impedes travellers) and mokumokuren (appears as eyes in a torn paper wall). What kind of folkloric creature will he meet next?

In Lostorage incited WIXOSS, high school student Homura Suzuko has returned to Ikebukuro, the town where she grew up.

But when she gets to school, she finds she has trouble fitting in with the rest of the class.

If they can retake all the coins, they win, and can leave the game. But if they lose, as a penalty--

Soul Buster
