Review
Nightmares for sale volume 2 features seven horror stories, though Shadow the pawn shop owner features in all of them he is more of a catalyst for the twist in the tale stories. Like the previous volume the artwork is pretty basic with little line variation and fairly minimal backgrounds.
Once again, the stories all have twists though refreshing this volume the humans caught up in the story start to fight back and not all the characters featured are selfish. This increases the variety somewhat, and actually makes you sympathise with some of the characters.
The bonus story "Wail" is the stand out, moving away from the pawn shop it follows a boy as he is dared to enter a 'haunted house'. There he meets a crying girl, who tells him how she came to be there. Apart from the supernatural element it's actually a fairly solid story about how friendship can turn sour.
Nightmares is enjoyable enough, but it won't leave a lasting impression. For horror fans only.
