Los Angeles-based publisher Seven Seas announces licensing of long sought-after manga, Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou, in multiple omnibus volumes.

LA-based publisher Seven Seas announced via Twitter that they had secured the English-language licence for Hitoshi Ashinano's beloved post-cataclysmic science fiction manga, Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou (Yokohama Shopping Log). Winner of the 2007 Seiun Award, the manga follows the adventures of Alpha, an android, who works at a coffee shop along the Japanese coast. Set in the aftermath of an irreversible disaster which has caused the terminal decline of humanity, the story follows Alpha as they try to navigate the end of days for humanity while maintaining their inner calm.

The original manga was published in fourteen volumes from 1994 to 2006, while Seven Seas announced they will publish the series in five omnibus editions starting in August 2022.
