Funimation adds four Gundam titles to platform catalogue

Funimation announces four Mobile Suit Gundam titles to be added to their online streaming service in a number of territories

Funimation announced that four titles from the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise would be joining the streaming service from September 7th 2021. The territories included in the announcement were the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. Viewers in Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Peru will be able to watch these titles at as yet unconfirmed date at the time of going to press.

Titles being added to the service are as follows:

Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative (Movie)
Mobile Suit Gundam Wing - 49 Episodes
Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam - 50 Episodes
Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin - 6 Episodes (OVA)

Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative

U.C. 0097. One year since the Laplace's Box was opened. Despite the revelation of the original charter for the Universal Century, which acknowledges the existence of Newtypes and their rights, the world remains largely unchanged. After the destruction of the Neo Zeon remnant force known as the Sleeves, the event that has come to be known as the "Laplace Incident" seems to have drawn to a close. In the final battle, two Full Psycho Frame mobile suits displayed power beyond human imagination. The menace of the White Unicorn and the Black Lion were sealed away from public consciousness, and were consigned to be forgotten by history. But now sightings of the RX-0 Unicorn 03, long thought lost two years ago, are being reported. Its name is Phenex, an immortal golden bird.



Mobile Suit Gundam Wing

It is the year After Colony 195, and war between the Space Colonies and Earth has begun. To give the colonies an edge, they send 5 young soldiers, trained to perfection, to earth in the most powerful of Mobile Suits-Gundams. With their arrival, the tide of the war changes as they battle against the Earth forces and the Colonies of their origin.



Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam

The year is Universal Century 0087. Seven years have passed since the end of the One Year War. In its zeal to stamp out any remaining opposition, the Earth Federation has organized the Titans, an elite fighting force. However, the Titans soon get out of hand, committing atrocities on par with the worst the Principality of Zeon had to offer during the war. In response, dissatisified citizens, former Zeon soldiers, and even members of the Earth Federal Forces form a resistance group known as the Anti-Earth Union Group, or AEUG. As the next war is brewing, a small AEUG group arrives at Side 7 to investigate the new Gundam Mk. II...

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin

U.C. 0068 - Zeon Zum Deikun suddenly dies while giving his speech to declare the Autonomous Republic of Munzo's independence from the Earth Federation. As Munzo falls in turmoil while the House of Zabi rises to power, Deikun's children Casval and Artesia flee the colony to Earth. In the years to come, Casval and Artesia live in secret while the Principality of Zeon develops its military power before finally declaring war in January U.C. 0079.
