Discotek Media Announces New Licences for Q4 2021

US anime label Discotek Media announced on Monday evening via Twitch they have licensed Shaman King, Super Dimension Century Orguss on blu-ray, Case Closed: The Darkest Nightmare, Lupin the Third: Part 5, Galaxy Cyclone Braiger on blu ray and Fatal Fury: The OVA Collection on blu-ray. They also gave updates for new releases coming from August 2021 onward.

Shaman King (2001) will be released on SD-BD (blu ray disc with standard definition video quality) using the 4Kids cut English language episodes. A Japanese language, uncut version will follow in the near future (these will also include the few uncut English versions using the 4Kids cast).



Super Dimension Century Orguss (1984), which has the greatest OP title song from the 80's, in this writer's HO, will be re-released on blu ray (having gotten a DVD release in 2015) in HD with the unfinished dubbed versions and the original Japanese version with the 2015 improved subtitles.



Case Closed: The Darkest Nightmare (2016) will be released in HD on blu ray for the first time with a new English dub and Japanese language track with English subtitles.



Lupin the Third: Part V (2018) will be released on blu ray in HD in English and Japanese in two parts, the first coming in the Autumn of 2021.



Galaxy Cyclone Braiger (1981) will be released in SD-BD format in Japanese with English subtitles.



They also announced Mitchiri Neko, Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple, Grimm's Fairy Tale Classics Season 2, Lupin the 3rd: Part III, and Future Robot Daltanious would be released in August 2021. All August releases are now available for preorder from online retailers (note, Discotek Media is a US-based company and all of their releases, unless otherwise noted, are Region locked A).
