ADV & MEZZO DSA RETURN HOME TO DIGITAL TV

MIKURA AND FRIENDS ENRAPTURED BY UK DIGITAL/BROADBAND TV

London, U.K., 29th June 2006

ADV Films are proud to announce in collaboration with Rapture TV the return to UK digital TV of their anime catalogue, debuting with actioner Mezzo DSA. Starting on July 6th, first-run screenings of new episodes will take place Thursdays at 8.30pm, with a repeat as part of the Sunday anime block at the same time. This marks ADV’s return to UK screens after over a year, since SciFi Channel completed their run of Excel Saga.

For those new to the joyous fun that is Mezzo DSA, here’s a quick rundown:

Meet the Danger Service Agency (DSA), a high-risk trio that pays the bills by putting their butts on the line. Hot babe a$$-kicker Mikura, hard-core hi-techie Harada and noodle-loving ex-cop Pops are the most unlikely crime-solving team since Scooby-Doo! Ducking bullets, and dodging punches, the trio find themselves working for a friendly ghost and a foxy weathergirl - helping old friends and hunting down an extraterrestrial. Whether you’re looking to run recon on a cheating spouse or smuggle a deadly virus, if the job reeks of danger, there’s only one team to call. With Mikura and friends on the case, danger has never looked so good!

Thirteen episodes packed so full of action and comedy they’re skin-tight, welcome to the world of creator Yasuomi Umetsu, whose earlier Kite has been announced as a live-action Hollywood remake by producer/director Rob Cohen (The Fast And The Furious, XXX). One of our favourite series here at the ADV office, all we can say to you is: hang on and enjoy the ride!
