Japanese Box Office Topped with Anime Films

Anime News Network have published an interesting article regarding 5 anime movies which are currently in the Top 10 of Japanese Box Office.

Fist of the North Star- Hokuto no Ken - Raoh Gaiden Junai-hen the first of a series of movies in this Saga premiered on 214 screens and earned 112 million yen in the first week of release.

The Doraemon movie earned another 467 million yen on 317 screens, bringing its box office total up to 900 million yen. The movie actually made more this weekend than during its opening weekend, when it earned 433 million yen.

A double Bill of Keroro Gunso / Kaiketsu Zorori also premiered in Japan this week resulting in 5 of the top 10 movies at the Japanese box office being anime.
