Anime fans in Scotland hoping to get their anime fix this October are in for a treat as Scotland Loves Anime 2018 Film is set to return in Glasgow from Friday 12th to Sunday 14th October and Edinburgh from Monday 15th to Sunday 21st October 2018.

The successful film festival has got a selection of treats for all tastes, a lot of them are either UK premieres some are EU Premieres. If you like some shonen action you can't go wrong with the latest My Hero Academia: The Two Heroes movie. If you want something fun for the family Mamouru Hosoda's latest film Mirai fits the bill (they've got other Hosoda screenings planned, but details TBC). Are you after something a bit different and quirky? Then go for Penguin Highway (EU Premiere), which is based on the novel by Tomihiko Morimi, who also wrote The Eccentric Family and Night is Short, Walk on Girl.

We're also very interested in I Want to Eat Your Pancreas, a story of a boy who discovers that his classmate is terminally ill with pancreatic disease. This is another UK Premiere.

They've got so much good stuff, looking for something old school and cyber punk? Then they've also got a special screening of Cyber City Oedo 808. The cult classic introduced many people to anime due to a screening on Channel 4 in the 90s. The cinema website states that this version will be the original Japanese dubbed with English subtitles, however Scotland Loves Animation have confirmed on Twitter it will be the dubbed version with extra profanity.

Oh also don't forget that they've got a special screening of B: The Beginning with a special Q+A the series director Kazuto Nakazawa too.
