Manga Art Competition At London Expo

Sonia Leong from UK manga style art group Sweatdrop Studios has just sent us the details of a Manga Art Competition which will be held at the London Expo this weekend. The competition is sponsored by Letraset who will be giving the winners some highly desirable colour professional Letraset Tria Marker collections, worth over £70 each.

So if you can draw and will be at the London Expo then why not give it a shot? ^_^

PRESS RELEASE: MANGA ART COMPETITION AT LONDON EXPO

Sweatdrop Studios are pleased to confirm details of the Manga Art Competition (sponsored by Letraset) to be held in the Anime Village at the London MCM Expo, 14-15 May 2005 at the ExCel Convention Centre, Royal Victoria Dock, London.

The Art Competition, organised by the UK manga-style comic collaborative Sweatdrop Studios, is open to submissions of all anime or manga style artwork in the following categories:

Best Original Character (Artist over 16yrs old)
Best Original Character (Artist under 16yrs old)
Best Fan Art (Artist over 16yrs old)
Best Fan Art (Artist under 16yrs old)

All winners in the above categories will receive their choice of either the Manga-Shojo or Manga-Shonen 24 colour professional Letraset Tria Marker collections, worth over £70 each.

Sweatdrop Studios will also be running a "Best in Show" art competition open to all anime or manga style artwork created in the Artists Alley during the Expo - the winner will walk away with 2 Tria sets and a Letraset Screen Tone assortment.

The London MCM Expo is spectular event offering the ultimate in the entertainment world, featuring TV, film and Sports celebrity signings (including Leonard Nimoy, Kevin Sorbo and Tia Carrera), exclusive film previews, film paraphenalia, gaming, robot wars and more!

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
All submissions must be given to Sweatdrop Studios staff during the Expo opening hours. The deadline for entries is 2pm on Sunday 15 May, and winners will be announced in the Anime Village before the close of Expo. Competitors are advised to submit copies, where possible, rather than originals as submissions cannot be returned.
