Readers in LA who are fans of renowned creepy-kawaii manga artist Junko Mizuno will want to head over to Gallery Nucleus on Saturday December 17th, 2016 for the opening reception of her new exhibition. Junko Mizuno's second Japan-themed art show will run from December 17th, 2016 to January 8, 2017.

Admission to the opening reception is free, booking is required. As always with popular events, we advise booking early to avoid disappointment.

My second Japan-themed art show is beginning in LA on December 17th!

TAKARABUNE by Junko Mizuno

Opening Reception / Dec 17, 6:00PM - 9:00PM
at Gallery Nucleus

"A solo exhibition of Junko Mizuno's latest work, this series continues her exploration of pop and spiritual aspects of Japanese culture with an emphasis on the Seven Lucky Gods. Traditionally six males and one female, Junko has depicted them as an all female ensemble of deities."

The opening reception on 17th will feature a seven-person performance piece titled, The Dance of the Seven Lucky Gods featuring handmade masks by Alston Stephanus Accessories that are inspired by my Takarabune painting (shown above), all set to the sounds of traditional Japanese live music. This one-time-only performance is not to be missed!

FREE admission, all ages welcomed
FREE drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be available for attendees.
