Anime Limited licence Space Dandy TV Series

Anime Limited announces licence for new TV series from the creator of Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo.

Anime Limited have announced they have acquired the licence in the UK/ROI/Isle of Man for Shinichiro Watanabe's newest TV series, Space Dandy. The science fiction series will be directed by Watanabe and Shingo Natsume. Animated by Studio BONES (Eureka Seven, Fullmetal Alchemist) show will be written by Ghost in The Shell TV series writer Dai Sato as well as Keiko Nobumoto, creator of Wolf's Rain and screenwriter of Cowboy Bebop. There will be a home video release with the series streaming in the above territories on Anime Limited partner, Wakanim UK in subtitled and dubbed formats.

The show is be screened in the US in January by TV channel Toonami before the Japanese TV broadcast.

Glasgow, UK December 5, 2013 – Anime Limited are thrilled to announce the acquisition of Shinichiro Watanabe’s latest series Space Dandy for the UK.

Space Dandy is the latest series directed by Shinichiro Watanabe (General Director) and Shingo Natsume (Director). Eagerly anticipated, the series will be simulcasted in the UK through Anime Limited in early 2014. Space Dandy will also be available for home video later on in the year.

About Space Dandy:

Space Dandy is a dandy in space! This dreamy adventurer with a to-die-for pompadour travels across the galaxy in search of aliens no one has ever laid eyes on. Each new species he discovers earns him a hefty reward, but this dandy has to be quick on his feet because it’s first come – first served! Accompanied by his sidekicks, a rundown robot named QT and Meow the cat-looking space alien, Dandy bravely explores unknown worlds inhabited by a variety aliens. Join the best dressed alien hunter in all of space and time as he embarks on an adventure that ends at the edge of the universe!

Space Dandy will be streamed in the UK – with English sub and dub – in early 2014 via Wakanim.co.uk. Details on dates and the subs/dubs to follow.
