A Shinto shrine near - yup you guessed it - Akihabara has started blessing laptops to protect them from the wrath of the gods and, err, malware apparently.

Worried users can take their cyberware to the Kanda-Myojin shrine to be blessed by the priests there and seek the gods protection. At the time of writing this article it is unknown if these purified laptops can still access 4-chan or if this negates the need for virus protection software. We at Otaku News have no idea how useful this may be on errant hardware, however it's got to be more effective than taking it into PC World!
