The good folks from Japanese Cultural Festival Hyper Japan have just sent us details for their next London event. They'll be running from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th July 2025 at Olympia Events.

Headliners this time around include alternative rock band Hitsujibungaku. You may have heard their song more than words which used in the second season of the anime adaptation of Jujutsu Kaisen, their song Hikaru Toki can also be heard as the opening theme in The Heike Story, plus they've got a great cover of Life's a Treat - Shaun the Sheep opening theme.

They'll also have the usual selection of Japanese culture, including performances, workshops, food and Japanese themed retailers

26 February 2025, London - The UK's largest Japanese culture event, HYPER JAPAN Festival, , is back at Olympia Events this summer, bringing the magic and excitement of Japan to the heart of the UK. Running from 18-20 July 2025, this 3-day festival promises to be bigger and better than ever, with a stellar lineup of performances, food, workshops, and exhibitors celebrating the best of Japan.

Among the exciting announcements, HYPER JAPAN Festival is thrilled to confirm the first two performers for 2025:

  • Hitsujibungaku, one of Japan's leading alternative rock bands, known for their emotional and dynamic performances will take the stage on Saturday, 19 July.
  • marasy, a celebrated pianist whose breathtaking talent has captivated millions online and on stage worldwide, will perform on Friday, 18 July.

Now in its 21st edition, continues to be a must-attend event for lovers of anime, manga, Japanese fashion, traditional arts, food, and cutting-edge technology.

Visitors can look forward to:

  • Live Performances: Hitsujibungaku, marasy, and more to be announced soon.
  • Workshops: Workshops will be announced in March, with add-on tickets available for purchase. Expect a mix of traditional favourites such as wagashi-making and furoshiki wrapping, alongside exciting new experiences.

New for 2025: Tomodachi Bundle Ticket

This year, HYPER JAPAN Festival introduces the Tomodachi Bundle Ticket, a special group package that includes five General Admission tickets at a discounted rate.
