Anime Expo 2023: Crunchyroll Industry Panel Announcements

Last weekend marked massive anime convention Anime Expo and many industry announcements were made. Not wanted to be left out the good folks from streaming anime giants Crunchyroll revealed upcoming titles on Monday 3rd July 2023.

They revealed details around new acquisitions such as Black Butler and Goblin Slayer Season 2, some various other anime announcements, plus interestingly, that Crunchyroll will host music from Sony Music, including 100 full-length concerts and thousands of music videos from artists like Hikaru Utada LiSA, Yoasobi and Asian Kung-Fu Generation.

They also revealed an collaboration with My Hero Academia between TOHO animation, Crunchyroll, the National Basketball Association (NBA), NBALAB, and HYPERFLY. More about the streetware will be revealed at NBA Co from 7th-9th July 2023, with the full range of merchandise launching later this autumn.

ANIME EXPO 2023: CRUNCHYROLL INDUSTRY PANEL ANNOUNCEMENTS

• The Crunchyroll Industry Panel at Anime Expo 2023 was held on Monday, 3rd July at 3:30 PM PDT in the Los Angeles Convention Center in California.


• A new, never-before-seen trailer for Solo Levelling was revealed for the exciting new series from A-1 Pictures, coming next winter.


• The world premiere of a new trailer for A Returner's Magic Should Be Special also debuted during the panel before its October 2023 launch.


• Several new anime titles were acquired by Crunchyroll, including The Apothecary Diaries, The Faraway Paladin: The Lord of Rust Mountain, GOBLIN SLAYER Season 2, The Kingdoms of Ruin, I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince So I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability, To Be Hero X, Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki 2nd Stage, and Black Butler.


• A new preview was shared for the My Hero Academia collaboration between TOHO animation, Crunchyroll, the National Basketball Association (NBA), NBALAB, and HYPERFLY that will bring fans a one-of-a-kind, must-have line of streetwear. Exclusive items from the collaboration will debut at NBA Con, held in Las Vegas from 7th-9th July, with the full range of merchandise launching later this fall.
  


• Previously, during the studio MAPPA Panel in LA on 1st July at Anime Expo, it was announced that their new title BUCCHIGIRI?! will be coming to Crunchyroll this January 2024.


• Those who attended the Bones panel yesterday also were treated to all new trailers for Metallic Rouge and KamiErabi GOD.app, both soon coming to Crunchyroll


• Additionally, earlier this week, our full catalogue from Sony Music became available on Crunchyroll! Fans can now discover 100 full-length concerts and thousands of music videos from artists like LiSA, YOASOBI, Hikaru Utada, ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION, Hiroyuki Sawano, KANA-BOON, and so many more
