Manga Alley Art Competition at the London MCM Expo in May 2012

The London MCM Expo is on the horizon for Friday 25th to Sunday 27th May 2012. If you're going and are artistic you will be pleased to hear that Letraset will be running a manga alley art competition. The theme for May's competition is Splish-Splash. The competition is divided into 2 categories, over 16 and under 16.

They'll be a great line up of over £120 worth of prizes for the winners, with plenty of goodies for runners up too.

Manga Alley Art Competition

The MCM Expo is preparing for the excitement that is the London MCM Expo Manga Alley and regular Art Contest - Letraset are, as always, proud to be able to host what is fast becoming one of the largest areas dedicated to Manga artists in the UK!

The Manga Alley Art Competition is open to everyone! The contest will be held throughout the day, across all days of the convention. Prizes are awarded to contest winners. The theme for May's Manga Alley Art competition is 'Splish-Splash' As usual there will be two categories, over 16 and under 16, the winners will receive over £120 worth of Letraset products, and there will be smaller prizes for the runners up.

'Splish-Splash'

Boats, ducks, surfers, divers, wrecks, fish, mermaids, water aliens, nymphs and reflective images on water, the list is endless and are all acceptable in this month's competition.

Water is everywhere in many different forms, your images and be a depiction of water, use of water or even convey the feeling of water; icy, steamy....

We want you to think about water in all its aspects and submit your illustrations to us which use it as a theme. The theme is open to interpretation and the more imaginative your designs the better!

Submission Guidelines

Regrettably, your artwork cannot be returned – if you would like your artwork to be posted back to you please ensure you have attached an SAE with the correct postage with your entry.

There will be two age categories; Under 16 years and Over 16 years. Each category will be split into two sections, pre-made and made on the day. We'll also be giving out the Young Star award to our favourite entry by a person under 11 years old.

All relevant forms will be available from the Letraset stand.

If you are entering a pre-made piece you will need to fill out a sticker from the Letraset stand and fix it to the back of your artwork.

If you are entering artwork made on the day, you will also need to fill out a sticker and fix it to the back of your work, but make sure you use the stamped paper provided at the Letraset stand – otherwise your entry won't be accepted!

The draw will take place within 5 days after the competition end date. All prize winners will be contacted using the details provided – so write clearly, or ask someone to write your details on your behalf. Please allow 28 days for delivery.
