The story of a deliquent, Seiji, who has his "devil's right hand" swapped with an actual girl, called Midori who has had a crush on Seiji. This comedy-romance looks at Seiji as he trys to get on with his life while hiding Midori from everyone and the relationship that grows between the two of them.
This is the kind of series you can only find in the anime/manga world. If you told the premise of "a guy who has a girl for a hand" to most people, they'd be calling for the Men In White Coats.
With Seiji trying to live his life with a girl on his right hand, he soon realises the complications it brings. Like trying to fight while not using his famed "devils right hand" or going to a figure shop filled with otaku to buy Midori some clothes.
While the premise might seem quite odd, it does work well and the series never feels like its straining the idea. The pace is helped along with the introduction of the secondary cast over quite a few episodes. Some people's favourites from the manga may not appear here as its only 13 episodes long.
Among the cast is Seiji's sister-from-hell Rin, who likes to torture Seiji, Takamizawa, a figure otaku who mistakes Midori for a figure at first, Kota, a friend of Midori's who is trying to figure out a way to cure her (she lays asleep at her house while she is on Seiji's right hand) and Takako, who is in Seiji's class and falls for him after he saves her from some deliquents. This sets up a love triangle between her, Seiji and Midori.
There is a lot of comedy in the series but also a suprising amount of sentimentality and romance given the plot, which makes a nice change.
There is a nice addition to the extras as they have 3 short audio dramas along with the usual textless opening and ending. Just to note, the audio dramas are in Japanese only.
The animation is solid throughout and the fight scenes look suprisingly good given the static nature of the rest of the series.
This is a nice fun series thats worth a look out for fans of this type of show, especially given the central idea!
