We've been sent some details from the Tomo-dachi Crew about their next convention, set for Friday, August 31st - Sunday to September 2nd, 2007 at the UU Magee Campus in Londonderry, Northern Ireland. Bookings before March 31st are 25 and 30 after. As of yet, they've not released a guest list, however if the last Tomo-dachi is anything to go for they'll have some good industry guests.
Full Story
Press release as follows:

Londonderry, September 14th 2006 - The Tomo-Dachi committee is proud to announce Tomo-Dachi 2007. Allow us to introduce the new committee, thank all those who helped us make Tomo-Dachi 2006 as much of a success as it was, and of course give you those all-important dates for your calendar.

Tomo-Dachi 2006 was a huge success! Thanks to all those who came out and supported us and made it the great convention it was! Special thanks go to ADV Films' Tiffany Grant and Matt Greenfield, for coming all the way from Huston, and Sweatdrop Studios' Emma Viecelli and Sonia Leong, Tokyo Toys and ADV UK for coming over from England!

We are now pleased to announce that Tomo-Dachi will be running again in 2007, provisionally scheduled between the 31st of August to the 2nd of September at the University of Ulster Magee Campus. Think of it as one last chance to enjoy yourselves before the summer is officially over! Registrations are not open as of yet, but we will be offering the same high-quality accommodation we provided last year and will also offer rooms for the Sunday night to make sure visitors from further afield don't have to leave us too early!

WHEN IS IT? Friday, August 31st - Sunday, September 2nd, 2007.
WHERE IS IT? UU Magee Campus, Londonderry, Northern Ireland.
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST? 25 if booked before March 31st, 30 thereafter

Bookings will open early next year and our website will reopen in November.

The Committee:
There have been a few changes to our Committee from last year, so for your information here's a list of our current committee members:

Colin Palin - [Chairman]
Dani Moore -[Business Liaison]
Ellen Woods - [Technical Admin]
Cathal Mullin - [Treasurer]
Paul Cosgrove - [Guest Co-ordinator]
David Mace - [PR Officer]
Ryan McDermott - [Cosplay Co-ordinator]
Gary Clark - [Events Supervisor]

Our next statement should be in December!

About Tomo-Dachi and DAMA:
DAMA was founded in 2004 to bring anime and manga to the North-West of Northern Ireland, but has managed to appeal much further in its two-year lifespan. 2005 marked the first Tomo-Dachi convention, which surpassed all expectations for both the staff and attendees. TD06 was the largest anime event in Ireland's history, with three days of events and guests from the US and UK in attendance. TD07 promises to be even bigger. More information is available at http://www.tomo-dachi.com.
