FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ADV FILMS ANNOUNCES NOVEMBER 23 RELEASE DATES

HOUSTON, October 21, 2004— ADV Films, the #1 producer-distributor of anime in the U.S, is excited to announce a street date of November 23 for their latest pair of hit home video releases.

AZUMANGA DAIOH: GRADUATION!

ADV Films announces that school is back in session! Azumanga Daioh: Graduation!, the sixth and final volume in the hit anime series has a November 23, 2004 street date, and you won't believe how the girls finish up the school year!

Often referred to as the Seinfeld of anime for it's skill in finding blistering humor in the most mundane situations, Azumanga Daioh is based on the hit graphic novel series from ADV Manga™, and wryly reflects the trials and foibles of high school life through the eyes of an odd assortment of young women and their even odder teachers. If you ever counted the minutes on a clock or pined for the cute girl on the other side of the class, Azumanga Daioh is certain to make you laugh out loud. Produced by Genco (Serial Experiments Lain) and JC Staff (Excel Saga), this acclaimed anime series premiered in early 2002 in Japan. ADV Manga™ released the popular Azumanga Daioh manga series late last year to the delight of anime fans.

School's almost out! But, it ain't over yet…Mountains of career sheets and last minute homework threaten to drown the girls in a wave of paper and exams are looming larger than ever. To improve their chances, the girls go through all sorts of bizarre rituals, from splitting chopsticks to drawing fortunes. And even studying – a little. And then… the final face-off between Sakaki and the gray cat! The last tests the girls will ever have to take! It's all here in the final wacky, wild and whimsical volume of Azumanga Daioh!

Azumanga Daioh: Graduation! (SRP $29.98 DVD) is a DVD-only release, including three complete episodes in both English 5.1 and Japanese 2.0 language versions with English subtitles. Extras include: Azumanga Daioh mini-movie, Azumanga Daioh movie character art gallery, production sketches, the fourth character collector's pin, a 12-page booklet with translation notes, clean opening and closing animations, a reversible cover and ADV previews.

The first volume of Azumanga Daioh also is available as a Collector's Edition, which includes the Volume 1: Entrance! DVD, a custom series art box sized to hold the entire six volume series and the first two of five limited edition character collector's pins. The third character pin will be packaged with volume three, the fourth in volume five and the fifth in volume six ($39.98 SRP).
