UK division of Bandai announces Blu-Ray titles

European arm of Namco Bandai announces two titles for release in November 2008 on Blu-Ray format

Beez Entertainment UK has announced the release of two titles on Blu-Ray in November 2008. FREEDOM and GUNBUSTER vs DIEBUSTER will be released on November 17th and 24th respectfully.

With the merger of Namco Bandai US distribution house, Bandai Visual USA, to Bandai Entertainment US, the future of BV USA's titles was in doubt. While Bandai Entertainment has announced they will continue to distribute these titles in the US themselves, no word until now has been said about Beez continuing their releasing of BV USA's titles in the UK/Ireland.

Announced Monday 7th July, FREEDOM will come in a box set containing 4 50 Gigabtye Blu-Ray discs costing MSRP 69.99 GBP. It will mastered in 16:9 1080p video and have a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 and Linear PCM stereo tracks with English and French subtitles. GUNBUSTER vs DIEBUSTER will come in a three disc (Two movies + Bonus) configuration priced MSRP 49.99 GBP or in two separate single disc editions, priced MSRP 24.99 GBP comprising of the two movie discs alone. Either sets have 16:9 and 4:3 (original movie only) 1080p video and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 and linear PCM stereo tracks with English and French subtitles.
